This is an introduction to Sakai’s traditional industry “Chusen”.
The place where I went with my child is “Kakuno Washarashi Koubou” near JR Tsukuno Station. The Ishizu River flows through this area, and the dyeing industry has developed because of the natural environment.
You will actually dye the tenugui, so you can have a memorable cultural experience.
It seems that there are several workshops in Sakai. Please try it out.
今回は、堺の伝統産業「注染」のご紹介です。 私が子供を連れて体験に行ったのは、ＪＲ津久野駅から近くにある「角野晒染工房」です。 この辺りは石津川が流れていて、自然環境に恵まれていたため、染色業が発展したようです。
